The WFLA started 2026 with 32 members.

Entry to the two WFLA cup competitions closed on the 31st January 2026 with the Women’s competitions closing on the 28th February 2026. Overall numbers were marginally down on 2025. 22 of the WFLA 32 FA-affiliated member leagues entered teams for 2026 across the two cup competitions. The Prostate Cancer UK WFLA Inter League Cup overall (inc. Women’s entries) from 55 to 53, being down by 4% year-on-year. The Prostate Cancer UK WFLA League Champions Cup overall (inc. Women’s entries) from 55 to 50, being down by 9% year-on-year. Competitions ‘Finals’ would again, be played at Coleshill Town FC’s Pack Meadow Pack Meadow, Packington Lane, Coleshill, Warwicks B46 3JE.
In March the WFLA Management Committee decided to it will no longer require its members to be affiliated to a County or National FA. See news item here.
Also, in March, after consultation with the Women’s Tournament organisers it was decided that there will only be one Women’s Cup ‘Mixed Age’ category across the two WFLA cup competitions. See news item here.
