The WFLA’s Management Committee have proposed that as from 1st of April 2026, it will no longer require its members to be affiliated to a County or National FA.
This proposal and other relevant amendments has been put to the WFLA’s current membership with the result of the vote/poll to be published by no later than the 31st of March 2026. Should the vote/poll confirm that 50% plus 1 of the WFLA members agree to this change, the WFLA Constitution will be amended, and the said change will come into effect from the 1st of April 2026. These changes will still need to be ratified at the next WFLA AGM.
Therefore, subject to members approval, as from the 1st of April 2026, applications for WFLA membership will be open to all walking football leagues, and a walking football league can become a WFLA member if they satisfy the prevalent membership qualifications.
