Support - Promote - Organise

The WFLA is a free to join, non-political, independent support network whose aims are to help establish, promote, and support walking football leagues.

Free membership is open to the organisers of any local or National walking football league. If your league qualifies for membership, please contact us on https://wfla.org.uk/about-us-2/how-to-join-the-wfla/

The WFLA is run by a volunteer Management Committee drawn from member leagues here.

We insist that no competition fixtures are played in caged pitches due to the risk of physical contact that inevitably arises in this type of venue. The age categories that we cater for are, Over 50s, Over 60s, Over 65s and Over 70s, and Women’s Mixed Age. All our referees are vetted and of the highest standard.

We are a national organiser of walking football tournaments that plays to, and recognises, that the playing laws of the game of walking football are as subscribed by the FA, without local amendments.

Our multi-event public indemnity policy number for 2026 is AN50044413 and we are insured via Event insurance Services Ltd.

Our 2026 'Finals' are supported by St. John Ambulance.
