The WFLA Management Committee are pleased to announce the appointment of Colin Strong as the incumbent Vice-Chairman. Colin is a highly respected member of the Birmingham Walking Football Community. He is a current member of the WFLA Committee, being appointed into that role in 2023. Colin will be taking over from Mick Hills, who is leaving the WFLA as Mick moves on to further his commitment to, and roles within, the FA.
Colin was ever-present at the WFLA events during 2024, assisting the WFLA team setting up pitches etc. at Redditch United FC.
Derek Murr says, “We are sure Colin will put his experience, drive, enthusiasm and passion for walking football to the fore as the WFLA continues to strengthen its Committees and panel of Referees with individuals who have the same values and commitment as us to help the WFLA enhance its reputation and the playing experiences for all of its members for 2024 and onwards,.”
