The Walking Football Leagues’ Alliance’s Management team are pleased to announce and wishes to welcome the Lancashire Mixed Walking Football league (‘LMWFL’) to the WFLA, as its 30th member.
Marcus Brown of Bolton Arena and the organiser of the LMWFL said, “We are excited that we are extending Our Partnership with the WFLA Through the Popular Over 50’s Sunday League!
We are thrilled to announce that our successful collaboration with the WFLA continues through our incredibly popular Over 50’s Sunday League! This unique league offers a 7v7 format across three competitive divisions: the Premier League, Championship and League One. With a strong lineup of 27 teams representing clubs throughout Lancashire, each fixture follows the FA’s Laws of the Game.
Fixtures are played on a home and away basis. The league also provides additional benefits within its format, enhancing the experience for both players and teams.
For teams interested in further opportunities, there are options to participate in friendlies or explore the new Over 60’s three touch format – an exciting variation offering more player inclusion, limited running, fresh challenges, and tactics. Interested teams can reach out to marcusbrown@boltonarena.com to learn more.
A huge CONGRATULATIONS to the WFLA management team for your ongoing success and innovation in creating memorable football experiences for all. We look forward to another exciting season with you during 2025.”
