The Walking Football Leagues’ Alliance Management team are pleased to announce that the ‘Finals’ for both the Inter League and League Champions Cups will be moving in 2027. We are leaving the current venue of Coleshill Town FC after this years Prostate Cancer UK WFLA League Champions Cup ‘Finals’, to the new facility at The New Irish Centre, 205 Wheelers Lane, King’s Heath, Birmingham B13 0ST. The venue was opened in November 2025 and is located at the former West Midlands Travel Social Club on Wheelers Lane. Entrance to the facility is via Wheelers Lane.
The New Irish Centre, is near the NEC, Birmingham Airport, between the A435 and the A34 major roads It is accessible to both the M6 and M42 Motorways. It is a newly redeveloped facility that has:
- Its own Sports Centre (Munster Sports Centre) with teams, and Referees changing rooms, all with showers.
- An on site Hotel (Pairc House Hotel and Conference Centre).
- Function rooms.
- A bar and restaurant.
- A dance studio and shop.
- A ‘state-of-the art’ boxing gym.
- A padel court.
- An all-weather 4G pitch.
- Two 7-a-side pitches.
- A full-size 45 pitch.
The pitches will allow the WFLA to host more teams and play up to 6 consecutive games at any one time.
